Day 15
Today we left Grand Island, NE at 8:30am and drove through Nebraska and Colorado. While the temperature ranged from 95 to 68, we went through a thunder and lightening storm, and even saw some hail! Along the way, Mom read a Lamplighter book called The Wanderer and we listened to Little Bear Wheeler's devotionals on Holidays. After Hannah and Josh swam at the Grand Junction, CO hotel, we watched gymnastics. Go USA! One more day on the road!

Day14
We left the farm at about 8:30 this morning and drove through Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Nebraska! While in Nebraska, the freeway closed down due to a semi-truck fire. We were diverted to a dirt road through the corn fields parallel to the freeway for about 40 miles, then back to the highway. It was a long adventurous day of fire and rain with dinner at Subway. The mid-west draught is apparent in the parched corn stalks, but the soy beans appear to thrive and are green and healthful looking. Hannah swam at the hotel before we caught a small bit of the Olympics. Go USA!
